Manado (or sometimes spelled Menado) is the capital of the Province of North Sulawesi. The city is located at the tip of the Northern Peninsula of Sulawesi island, facing the Manado Bay in the Celebes Sea (Laut Sulawesi). Thought is has 18 km coastline, the Manado city is also surrounded by hills and mountains with several active volcanoes. Manado is reachable from Jakarta, Makassar, Balikpapan and several cities in the country through Sam Ratulangi Airport.
